The small Texas town of Alpine nestled approximately 100 miles north of Big Bend National Park is the scene of the Big Bend Balloon Bash. My friends Jim and Jim brought this small rally to my attention at the Old Timer's Rally in Roswell, NM and I thought I'd like to give it a try. I'm hooked. Although most of my crew came from Midland, TX, El Paso, TX, and San Antonio, TX I did have a hard working local crew for which I was very happy. This rally takes place over the Labor Day Holiday Weekend.
